Day of Kindness

The City of Philadelphia is proclaiming October 27, 2015 A Day of Kindness.

Inglis is pleased to join in and participate.  We know our many friends and family in the Inglis Community have been abundantly kind throughout the years.

This day marks Philadelphia’s 333rd birthday with a month-long initiative to inspire more kindness in the City of Brotherly Love.

Upcoming events and celebration will create a positive action in our relationships to each other and to the world in which we live.

  • Community Exchange Program will highlight nonprofit organizations and match them with volunteers.
  • Kindness in the Wind - an art installation - featuring thousands of small, colorful flags carrying messages of love, peace, hope, and kindness . . . created through organizations and by citizens like you.

A Day of Kindness was inspired by the 2015 visits to Philadelphia, exactly one month apart, of two icons who embody love and kindness – Pope Francis and the Dalai Lama. Since the initial planning, however, the Dalai Lama will not be be able to visit Philadelphia due to his health.
