INGLIS HOUSING CORPORATION BOARD CHAIRMAN ELECTED

Philadelphia, PA – Janet Ries Stern has been elected Chairman of the Board of Inglis Housing Corporation, developer of affordable, wheelchair accessible housing for people with physical disabilities. Inglis Housing Corporation is a non-profit subsidiary of the parent corporation Inglis Foundation.

In announcing her election, Inglis Foundation Board Chairman Luisa Rabe said, “Ms. Stern will be responsible for setting strategic direction for the expansion of Inglis Housing Corporation's future initiatives. She will also oversee the organization's current housing stock which presently includes 125 occupied units located throughout the greater Delaware Valley, with 89 in the active development stage.”

Stern is a secondary education consultant. She was a teacher of world history at Agnes Irwin School, Upper School, Rosemont , PA.

Stern holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA ; and a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina Law School, Chapel Hil , NC. She is a candidate for a Master of Education Degree, also from the University of Pennsylvania .

Inglis Foundation works with people with physical disabilities to create and provide practical solutions so they may pursue their life goals. Services include long-term care, wheelchair accessible housing, an adult day program, care management, durable medical equipment, personal care assistance and community employment.
