Discovering People on Wheels

Discovering People on Wheels is a question/ response coloring book geared to early elementary children. The coloring book helps to dispel myths and encourage understanding about what people in wheelchairs can do. Educators and others across the country have found it very useful in helping non-disabled children understand people who use wheelchairs.

Teachers' Resource Guide

Designed to accompany Discovering People on Wheels, this guide offers suggestions and educational strategies for teachers to use in developing a learning unit on disability awareness.

Walking with People on Wheels

This informative brochure, designed for older elementary school children and adults, helps those on foot know what to do, or not to do, when meeting or assisting someone in a wheelchair.

These publications are available to schools, day care centers, youth programs, summer camps and other youth organizations free of charge in quantities of 50 or less. Use our convenient online form for more information about or to request copies of public awareness materials produced by Inglis Foundation.
