Engineer II

The Engineer II performs with appropriate tools and materials on all work related to the lay out, installation, construction, assembly, alterations, repair, maintenance, inspection and testing of HVAC, environmental controls, refrigeration, electrical and plumbing systems and all their related equipment and instrumentation.
The Engineer II creatively supports the continuous improvement process and should have excellent communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality. The Engineer II must be committed to the success of team work and to further the Inglis House Mission, Vision, Values and Principles.
Primary Responsibilities:
All essential job responsibilities will be executed in accordance with Inglis Administrative policies and compliance/ethics guidelines.
- Performs general maintenance work and preventative maintenance throughout the facility indoors and outdoors.
- Includes but is not limited to the following: repairs, flooring, furniture, walls/ceiling, and minor electric and plumbing.
- May include repairs for power wheelchairs, electric beds, and all other medical equipment as needed
- Monitor mechanical equipment; boilers, motors, pumps, centrifugal chillers as needed, basic knowledge of all phases of electricity
- Basic knowledge of 13,200v main electrical switch gear station, 4 electrical substations 120v-480v and transfer switch operations
- Basic knowledge of Johnson Controls Metasys Building Automation Software System to control and adjust 11 air handlers, a network of VAV controllers and other major mechanical equipment
- Operating skills for the Notifier Fire Protection System, Rauland nurse call system
- Snow removal
- Knowledge of Inglis and Engineering Dept. policies
Education & Experience:
High School or Trade School. Five (5) years experience in boiler plant operation preferably in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of Life Safety Code 101. Basic knowledge of emergency generator systems, HVAC systems, including chillers, high voltage dual feed switchgear
