Respiratory Therapist - POOL

Inglis enables people with disabilities – and those who care for them – to achieve their goals and live life to the fullest.  Inglis is seeking a Pool Respiratory Therapist (RT) who will have the primary responsibility to evaluate and treat residents under the direction of a physician.  Inglis residents do not have/use ventilators. The RT will assume responsibility for all respiratory care including therapeutic treatments and diagnostic procedures.  The RT will ensure appropriate infection control measures at all times and equipment safety.  He/she will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and resident families to ensure provision of quality care.

This position requires current professional licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

All essential job responsibilities will be executed in accordance with Inglis Administrative policies and compliance/ethics guidelines.

  • Demonstrating clinical knowledge by planning/implementing treatment programs and outcomes.
  • Conducts respiratory evaluations.
  • Documents resident treatment and progress notes.
  • Communicates with physicians to establish treatment plans.
  • Communicates with the interdisciplinary team and unit nurse manager to ensure quality care is being provided to residents.
  • Provides education to residents and family members regarding preventative care and equipment.
  • Monitors respiratory equipment visually prior to resident setup and after resident use.

 

Education & Experience:

Current Professional Licensure in the State of Pennsylvania.

A minimum of one (1) year experience is required, in Long Term Care.
